About the festival:

NDAF is a neuroaffirming arts festival designed by neurodivergent people. The festival welcomes everyone but it is designed with neurodivergent needs and interests in mind. Our goals are to create an environment where ND people can enjoy the arts and to promote neurodivergent accessibility. The festival features arts of all kinds from music to comedy to installation art to galleries.

The festival will be in Uptown Waterloo and the tentative dates are June 11th to 13th, 2027.

The role of the planning committee:

The planning committee makes decisions about the festival and contributes their knowledge and time to making the festival happen. Because we are in our first year, being a member of the planning committee is a volunteer position. There are opportunities for business promotion for committee members.

We will meet once a month and then twice a month as we get closer to the festival. If you volunteer for a subcommittee, there may be additional meetings.

It is possible to attend meetings virtually. We are accepting applications from across Canada.

Equity:

We are striving to be an equitable organization. As such, when selecting committee members we will be aiming to have a majority of (QT)BIPOC people. We will try to lift up the voices of marginalized people.
